The Hungarian Banknote Printing Corp. is Hungary's single printing house producing banknotes and security documents (passports, identity cards), further one of the largest companies producing securities and different kinds of postage, tax and excise stamps.

Intaglio printing represents the highest level typographical procedure in the protection against forgery. In Hungary the Hungarian Banknote Printing Corp. is the only firm disposing of this technology. You can meet products made with intaglio printing every day, i.e. the banknotes.

For the Hungarian Post we produce higher level stamps on special occasions also with this technology. You could see these technics of excellent aesthetic quality on the shares of certain companies, or on the inner covers of Hungarian passports, as well.

On request, the Hungarian Banknote Printing Corp. can use also the following elements for further protection against forgery:

Material: security paper with registered, multistage, shaded watermark, security thread or chemical protection if needed

The Hungarian Banknote Printing Corp. was founded in 1926 first of all to meet the home requirements for banknote. In the coming decades the profile has been continuously extended with the production of various quality prints protected against forgery, such as securities (shares, different state papers, other securities) postage, tax and excise stamps, tax labels, personal documents, gift vouchers.

In manufacturing their products the Hungarian Banknote Printing Corp. rely on traditions, on the long experience and professional skill of their experts, on the continuous technical and technological developments, high level equipment, various printing and processing technologies.

In the manufacturing of printing plates, in context and picture processing we apply the most up-to-date computer controlled system. Electronic technology is used for making the most complex line systems but we dispose of traditional mechanic guilloche equipment, as well.

Safety control of the production and products is performed by a special safety system.
